This young female is the fifth of our JNK x JNK bred parents. Her sire is our ILR SD/UAP Halter Champion classic pack male, JNK Cayetano. Cayetano has completed several legs of his PLTA Advanced certifications and is a complex registered therapy llama with Pet Partners. He has also won over 29 grand champions in halter in real shows. Cay is a double Halter Best of Show winner to boot!
Cayetano is by a PLTA Master Packer (MPL Sky Rocket) and out of one of our very best producing classic females (Rocky Mountain Sunshine). Grandma produced many of our keeper herd animals and was a show and regional champion winner in halter. Her sire (great grandsire to this baby) was the great, Rocky Mountain Jester who was a packer, driver and all around llama. Great grandma, Bett's Supaya lived to be 24 and was upright and still going strong until the end.
Kalosi is a keeper in our herd and by our supreme producing pack male, MPL Anders Tobias. Toby had the strongest rear end we have ever seen on a pack llama. He also has the best work ethic and stamina of any llama we have seen besides Isle Eagle (our foundation woolly herdsire). Toby lived to be a healthy 25 years old and was sound until the day he died. On top of all this, Kalosi is an absolute sweetheart and loves a good hug and butt scratch from you! She also loves water and dances in the hose when offered the opportunity. We showed Kalosi a few times and she did really well winning Halter Grands and Bred and Owned.
Arriving with a birth weight at 37.4 lbs, this sweet girl was up and nursing immediately. The first week after her birth, she gained 1+lbs a day! Her 2016 full brother was 38lbs and is now in Colorado hiking. The 2017 full brother is part of the Redwood Llamas breeding program in Colorado. The 2019 female from this cross is in Washington and will be used for packing and therapy work. The 2020 sibling is in Colorado and will be packing when of age.

Pronounced (chee-vetta) “Monte Civetta (3,220 m) is a prominent and major mountain of the Dolomites, in the Province of Belluno in northern Italy. It’s classed as one of the symbols of the Dolomites.” Reference: wikipedia “Monte Civetta stands in the first line of the wildest Dolomites mountains - mainly because of it's huge north west face that is a symbol of the Dolomites and an eyecatcher in the Agordino valley.” Reference: https://www.summitpost.org/monte-civetta/152437

Another home run from this pairing that has that attention demanding presence. Merla Bella's older brother "Serenity Park's Ramazon" is a many times show winner (45+ Grands/Reserves & 15+ Best of Show Titles) and in our opinion the very essence of what a good/correct llama should look like! She is also a third generation driving llama on the dam side (both her sire and dam side drove) and is an excellent packer too!
Sire is our many times Halter Champion (ILR/ALSA) and Best of Show Halter Winner Marisco. Marisco is a full Peruvian son of two time National ALSA Halter Champion *Sipan. In addition to being correct, Marisco has been a Complex registered therapy llama since 2006! Marisco won Double Best of Show and Regional High Point at age 17! In 2019 he took double grand champion at age 18 and would have been showing in 2020 and 2021, but the shows we attend were all cancelled but one.
This young females dam Kestrel is owned by our NZ friends Terry & Sandra Spekreijse. She has produced champion after champion every year. Kestrel is a halter and performance winner. She also is an accomplished driving llama!
Grandsire to this female is our Isle Eagle. Eagle was the top show and driving llama of all time. Additionally, Eagle was an accomplished packer and therapy llama. Eagle is one of only two ALSA Breeder Elite titled llamas in the world. He also was a 4x National Driving Champion when classes were full with competition. Eagle daughters are the basis of our woolly program and we have swept shows every year with their descendants. Many people seek this line too for their brains and driving abilities.
Other greats in this line were drivers, ALSA Champions, packers, therapy animals and much more!
The 2018 sibling to this female, Rialto, won in halter and fleece his first show out at 5 months! He is now a complex registered therapy llama with Pet Partners. Big brother Murano is a finished ILR Halter Champion and Pet Partners registered therapy llama. Her other big brother Kalahari has won in halter and is now a registered therapy llama as well with Pet Partners. Three full siblings are registered therapy llamas!
Pretty much every llama in this pedigree drives, wins in the showring, does performance, has beautiful fine fiber, does therapy work and is just an all around AMAZING llama! Many of the full siblings to this cross are around the country in other breeding/showing programs. To top it off, she has gorgeous and silky fiber! It is around a 16-17 micron count.
This young female has so much promise and to top it off as a bonus, she is a beautiful flashy paint. She is going to a show and breeding program.
Meaning of the name:
Part of the Italian tradition: I giorni della Merla. In some rural places in Northern Italy, during the “Giorni della Merla” communities organize parties around a “falò” (bonfires), singing traditional songs regarding the “merla” and having Vin Brulè (mulled wine) and cakes. Farmers still look at the weather during the 3 days of the blackbird to predict how the weather will be during the year. If during these three days it snows, probably Spring will come earlier and will be mild, while if it’s not going to be cold during these days, Spring will be colder.
A different theory has it that blackbirds were originally white. Once upon a time, a blackbird with its little chicks looked for shelter inside a chimney during the cold days of the end of January. When, on February 1st, they came out of the chimney they were all black and her partner didn’t recognise them: blackbirds have been black ever since.

***SOLD Congrats Courtney***
Tika the dam to this male is one of our very smartest llamas. She is also one of the mellowest ones we own! As one of Niki's previous performance/halter llamas, she consistently shined in the showring. She also won a lot in halter (ILR Halter Champion and one grand from an ALSA Halter Champion) before being retired to make stellar halter/performance llamas for our farm. Tika has three offspring that have become Pet Partners therapy llamas. One of our very favorite females in our herd.
The sire to this beautiful young male is our consistent producing halter, performance, fiber and therapy male Marisco. Grandsires (*Sipan & Isle Eagle) to the baby are national winners in halter and performance! *Sipan a two time national winner in halter and Isle Eagle was the top driving, packing, therapy and show llama of all time! He won nationals in driving and performance when the classes were huge!
This guy has several full siblings that have done extremely well in various capacities. This is one of our most consistent performance/halter/therapy/fiber lines and to top it off, they LOVE water! All have matured to be beautiful, smart and stretchy adults.

Only the second female from this pairing!
This beautiful female is the spitting image of her sire as a baby. She is a rose grey color with peachy highlights. In all our years, we have never had a milk thief. This baby is literally latched onto every mom in the field, including her own! Yes, her mother does have milk, but she seems to like to sample all the mom's milk!
This female is by our senior woolly herdsire Marisco. Marisco is an ALSA & ILR Halter Champion, many times Best of Show Male and Complex Registered Therapy Llama with Pet Partners (since 2006). His offspring are all over the country and have won top honors in halter and performance. In addition, he has many offspring that are registered for therapy work! Marisco is a kind soul in and out of the showring. In 2018, he won Double Best of Show and Western Region Overall Champion Male at age 17. In 2019 he was Double Grand Champion Moderate Heavy Wool Male at age 18! We use him to do hospice work and other therapy visits in addition to breeding.
The dam of of this woolly beauty is our JNK Huaycool's Rosabella. Born on our farm, Rosabella is one of our most successful show, performance and therapy llamas we have produced. She is an ALSA and ILR Halter Champion and ILR Performance Champion. She is a Complex Registered Therapy Llama with Pet Partners as well. Rosabella is one of the sweetest and kindest llamas we own besides Marisco. Her nickname is "The dog" because of her puppy dog friendly attitude. Her first three full sibling sons by Marisco all won in halter at their first shows. Rustamone is an ILR Halter Champion. This cross has won fleece awards too!
Paternal grandsire is the famous *Sipan. Imported in 1997, he went on to become an ALSA Halter Champion, ALSA Get of Sire ROM and two time ALSA National Champion in halter. The second time at age sixteen. Shown and imported by Hinterland Llamas.
Maternal grandsire is Huaycool (*Huaycho x *Heylee) who was purchased at the Hinterland dispersal in 2010 for use on our Eagle and Marisco daughters. Huaycool was an ALSA Halter Champion and producer of numerous halter and performance winners. He also produced several Pet Partners Registered Therapy Llamas and was so gentle a two year old could lead him.
The maternal Grandmother to this female was our very best producing woolly female Bros Normandie. Normandie (formerly owned by Bauernheim Llamas) created halter and performance champions every time she gave birth. She also made three Pet Partners Complex Registered Therapy Llamas too! Normandie was a Legend's Rammas granddaughter, which is the same line that gave us Isle Eagle (the top show llama of all time). Her sire was an English import named *Union Jack. Normandie's Produce of Dam and Production Pair (2 offspring from the same dam) entries won nearly every time they were entered. Her descendants have won top honors in fleece as well.
*El Fuerte is this girl's full Peruvian Great Grandsire. After researching, we realized that in a short production, he has produced more winning llama descendants than any other line in history. An ALSA National Get of Sire Champion and ALSA Get of Sire Champion and ROM recipient. One of Hinterland's most prepotent and recognized lines.
How could anybody go wrong with a pedigree this strong?
Name Origin: The meaning of Rosella is "Rose flower". Its origin is "Italian variant of the Latin name Rosa". Rosella is a form of Rosa and is generally pronounced like "roh ZEL ah". This name is mostly being used as a girls name. Rosella is an Italian nickname of the name Rosa, which is the Latin word for the genus of the rose plant.

A beautiful female from all of our strongest classic lines and some from the Redwood herd. The very first offspring of our CTL Sulu son JNK Sulu's Huxley MT. With the pack market being saturated with the same common overused lines, this young female has so much potential for her genetic contributions. In addition, her mother, two uncles and two aunts are all registered therapy llamas with Pet Partners. Lada's dam and great grandfather are/were accomplished driving llamas.
Lada's dam JNK Tobias's Caldera is a many times performance and halter champion. She is also the 2011 International Gathering of Friends Reserve Champion Classic Female. That year she dominated the national top 10 list for performance (PR, Pack & Obstacle). Dara is an excellent driver and packer as well. The icing on the cake is the fact that she is a Complex Registered Therapy Llama with Pet Partners as well.
Lada's sire Huxley is a mellow classic male that is Pet Partners complex registered for therapy work with two handlers. Huxley's pedigree is llama royalty in the packing world and his dam came from the famed commercial packing operation Redwood Llamas in Colorado. His maternal grandsire is Clancy who won nearly every professional running event with llamas. To the point that it was written up in Sports Illustrated. Additionally, his maternal great grandsire is the famous Oliver Twists.
CTL Sulu was one of the kindest and calmest llamas you could ever meet. As the grandsire of Lada, she should have his steady and sweet attitude. Sulu was a very reliable commercial packer in Wyoming prior to coming to our farm. The size, bone and substance of Sulu was a nice addition to our current packing stock.
Grandsire Anders Tobias was the first of our classic breeding program. We acquired Toby as a finished packer that had already achieved Master Packer status with PLTA. Toby was also used for hunting and extensive pack trips. There is no other llama with the work ethic, stamina, athleticism and structure in the packing world. We walked Toby into the showring for the first time at age 12. That day he walked out with two Grand Champions and this was in the day when the classes had much woollier animals mixed with classics. Over the years we continued to show Toby and earned many grands in halter and performance with him and eventually he got his ALSA Halter Championship. He was the ONLY classic male that is an ALSA Halter Champion and PLTA Master Packer. At age 25.5, Toby was still active, sound and breeding till the day he died! A testament to his genetics and overall strength. We have retained three of his daughters for use in our program. Many offspring are registered therapy llamas with Pet Partners and even grand offspring are now registered as well. Two offspring are driving in cart and there are many many packers sired by Toby.
Rocky Mountain Sunshine was the first of our classic females we added to breed to Toby. Her overall structure and solid movement made her a great match with Toby. We kept three of her offspring in our herd. All of them are Complex Registered Therapy Llamas with Pet Partners. They are also being used for showing, packing and breeding in our program. JNK Cayetano (by MPL Sky Rocket) is our main classic herdsire now and has many grand champions in halter (Finished ILR Halter Champion). Sunshine was the 2009 NW Regional Highpoint Classic Female and won many champions while we showed her. Her offspring are among some of our very favorites we own and work with. Sunshine's sire Rocky Mountain Jester was one of the very first all around llamas that drove, packed and was shown. She originally came from the Rocky Mountain herd owned by the famed Bobra Goldsmith.
Lada has very keen skills to be an excellent performance llama. She also has numerous siblings scattered around the country that are packing, doing therapy work and more. Under Meghan's talented hand, she is going to be a force in and out of the showring.
Name Origin: Marmolada is the highest mountain massif in the Italian Dolomites. Also known as the Queen of the Dolomites. Marmolada (Ladin: Marmoleda, German: Marmolata) is a mountain in northeastern Italy and the highest mountain of the Dolomites (a section of the Alps). It lies between the borders of Trentino and Veneto. The Marmolada is an ultra-prominent peak (Ultra).

Toviah's first baby and Huxley's second baby. One of the few JNK x JNK breeding crosses as well. We owned all the grandparents in this pairing and showed 3/4 of them. Zaltana is special and completely unreleated to most of the overused packing lines.
Zaltana's sire Huxley is a mellow classic male that is Pet Partners complex registered for therapy work with two handlers. Huxley's pedigree is llama royalty in the packing world and his dam came from the famed commercial packing operation Redwood Llamas in Colorado. Additionally, his maternal great grandsire is the famous Oliver Twists.
JNK Tobias's Toviah is one of our keeper Toby daughters and the dam to Zaltana. We picked a good one to keep as Toviah is undefeated in halter and at this time is only three points away from finishing her ILR Halter Championships. Toviah ended 2019 as Best in Show Female for the OFFF & Western Championship Show. She also was OFFF & WCS Best in Show Fleece On.

Grandmother Rocky Mountain Inca's Legacy Lady was the 2007 ALSA National Reserve Grand Champion Light Wool Female. Her half brother by the same dam was also National Reserve that year. Legacy was almost an ALSA Halter Champion when ILR SD started, so all her awards are in the ILR system. She was an ILR finished Halter Champion. This female was a very nice representation of a classic pack llama.
UPDATE: At her very first show, Zaltana pulled two Grand Champions in halter!
Zaltana is a darling female. She has a very calm and easy going disposition. In addition, she has a nice classic coat and is very square. We are excited to see how she will mature and where her life will lead.
