Information
For the last 20+ years, I have been madly working on gathering and organizing information, pictures and old publications (catalogs, magazines and more) with information about llamas (especially older llamas). What I realized was that a lot of the old information is being lost and/or thrown out. In response to this, I have been writing letters, calling and contacting some of the older breeders to get this information gathered into one place. I have a lot of pictures and publications already, but still need more! (see below) Many people have given/sold me old magazines and I have paid money for some off Ebay and from private individuals! What I really need now are the Al Oming Game Farm Catalog, Pre-93 Fort Worth Catalogs, 1998 Oklahoma Select Sale Catalog and a few of the ALSA Showrings. I am missing a few Llama Links and Llama Marketplaces too! If you have these, would you please contact me? See my article on this work.
I also have a HUGE database where I have all the information on where to find pictures and certain articles in the publications, fliers, sale catalogs and more! This database has over 97,000 animals referenced. Eventually I hope to write a book and share it with the llama
world.
In addition to the pictures etc. I also have the largest genetic database on the North American herds. Over the years I have compiled information shared with me from breeders, owners etc. that have experienced the issues and traits, good and bad! My rule is that if you have something credible to share related to your own experience, I will share what I can with you about what I know. Unfortunately in the llama community there have been little to no records kept on this type of information and there are obvious consistent traits that repeat themselves. CONTACT me if you have something you would like to share.

How you can help me?
1. Contact me and send or scan pictures of animals that you have that have had a lot of offspring or that you know are a famous llama. I am looking for shots of Babe, Zapata, Consuela, Old Hilda, Ole Papoufnik, King, Fredericka, Mt-M Winifred, Oprah Winfrey, Eva Gabor, Polachinka, Auntie Mame and a few others.
2. If you have some of the older catalogs, 3L Llama Issue number 4, Fort Worth Catalogs, various Llama Links and Llama Marketplaces and a few other publications, let me know as I would LOVE to get them! I will pay shipping, trade or buy them.
3. Encourage friends you have that are getting out or that have some of this information, to CONTACT me or 360-592-2603. Heck forward this page onto friends please!
4. Mark all your pictures or label them. You may know the animals, but if something happens, will someone else? A lot of pictures I have received are not labeled and I am spending hours asking for I.D.'s from people! The International Lama Registry online picture database is missing many older pictures of animals. I scan and send them a lot of pictures that I am given.
